Current Vacancies - Teaching Team
Thanks for taking a look at our careers page here at Oma Rāpeti ELC. We are currently seeking a qualified, passionate Senior Team Leader within our infants space.
Are you a passionate, committed teacher who wants to move into management within a small, family owned centre?
We are on the search for someone to lead our infants room. You must be above amazing to be considered for this role and a great team player. You will be incredibly passionate about slow paced, relationship-based care within a small group size (10 infants). You likely would have completed the RIE foundations course and have a thorough understanding of what this looks like in practice, woven together with Te Whāriki and Emmi Piklers philosophy.
You will be a fully qualified, mature and experienced teacher. You might be in leadership now or you have clear ambition to move that way. You must be flexible and hands on, ready to get stuck in with whatever the day presents.
You will work closely with our small, tight knit management team. We have a fantastic reputation (running with waitlists over both rooms) and we want someone who believes in what we do here and is passionate about our little oasis in the city.
This role will have a balance between time in the room with the children and time in the office supporting our Centre Manager in her role. There will be a wide variety of tasks that fall under your leadership including leading and guiding internal evaluations, transitioning children into the centre and room, leading the infants space, mentoring and supporting teachers, working closely on the health and safety requirements of the centre, helping with parent communication (i.e. learning stories, newsletters etc), planning events,
We have a 9-day fortnight here at the centre, with the 10th day from home for 3.5 hours and the remaining time for yourself. There is plenty of parking onsite and we have a leafy, beautiful oasis amongst the trees right in Central Auckland.
